On September 26, Space Heard Us had the privilege of visiting Evergreen Apartment in Annandale to share an afternoon of music with senior residents as a special guest of Outreach Worship.

This performance was about more than playing music. It was about sharing something meaningful with members of our community.

Our musicians performed with the hope that familiar melodies and heartfelt music could bring a little joy, comfort, and warmth to the seniors in the audience. Seeing their smiles, hearing their applause, and sharing those moments together reminded us of something simple but powerful: music can connect people across generations.

For our musicians, it was also an opportunity to experience what it means to use their talents for others. Their music became a gift—not because every note had to be perfect, but because it was offered with sincerity and care.

We are deeply grateful to the residents of Evergreen Apartment and the Outreach Worship community for welcoming our musicians so warmly and allowing us to be part of this meaningful afternoon.

We hope to continue creating opportunities for our musicians to share their talents in service to others—and to discover that when we share music, we also share a part of ourselves.
